The Earth Cup initiative shall be dedicated to motherhood, in honor of Al-Hamra Nasreen (Labony), wife of the architect of the Earth Cup initiative, as well as all the mothers of the world, past, present and future. Ms. Nasreen nearly paid the ultimate price as a result of catastrophic stress injury triggered by her husband's near-death encounter with a hyper-corrupt syndicate in his home country in 2002, causing the family scathing and ruinous financial trauma, and by his self-financed unrelenting international campaign against large scale corruption (2002-2008). A divine miracle, delivered through 4 hospitals, scores of nurses, physicians & surgeons in Toronto, and of course the most advanced and caring universal healthcare system in the world, the Canadian Healthcare System, saved her. Transparency International UK, backed by TI Headquarter in Berlin, Germany, and Mr. Peter Eigen, the founder and former Chairman of Transparency International, in an unprecedented gesture in the history of TI movement, endorsed and advocated for the international campaign against large scale corruption by the founder of the Earth Cup. The Earth Cup initiative shall for ever be grateful to Md Riyadh Sadat, sibling of Al-Hamra Nasreen, for his organ donation to his sister! It transforms water into wine, grains of sand into pearls, raindrops into balsam, poverty into wealth, the smallest into the greatest, the most common to the most noble, earth into paradise."

The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world! Without sanctifying and canonizing motherhood, the divinity of motherhood as personified by the Blessed Virgin Mary, planet Earth cannot be truly consecrated. Earth Cup initiative calls upon the conscience of the leaders in business, economics, politics and the civil society to recognize motherhood as the holiest constituent and the indispensable all-encompassing élan vital for the preservation of the global commons, as motherhood has no ethnicity, no ideology, no caste and no creed, like water, oxygen and trees. Motherhood is the lingua franca of life and humanity. 

A $10 trillion dollar bounty of Mother Nature! Globally, women do three-quarters of all unpaid care work, and the division of unpaid labor has become even more skewed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Women spend more than one trillion hours a year on unpaid work, including childcare, eldercare, cooking, and cleaning. The value of all this work? Around $10 trillion annually, according to McKinsey analysis.
